Student Support Programs

In the past year (2022) 16 recipients benefited from financial support and mentoring coordinated by the Student Support Committee.

• 8 students: Cultural fund (school excursions, extra-curricular activities)
• 4 students: Tertiary Support fund
• 1 student: Albury Lions Club scholarship fund
• 3 students: Richardson Education Assistance Program fund

These scholarship funds enabled us to support the health and wellbeing of new settlers with practical support, such as laptops and mentoring. Thank you to the Lions Club of Albury and Boomerang Bags Albury for their donations to the Cultural Fund and TAFE scholarship program. Thank you to the Rotary Club of Albury Foundation for their contribution to these valued educational programs over the next three years. Hyphen Homework Club: 434 primary school students were supported by 236 volunteers over four school terms, thanks to a grant from Australian Communities Foundation that was auspiced by MVSRG and delivered by Albury Wodonga Volunteer Resource Bureau.
