Murray Valley Sanctuary Refugee Group Inc. (MVSRG) was formed in November 2004. It is part of a wider network in Australia - the Sanctuary Refugee Foundation that was founded in 1988 by Sue and Peter Hallam in Coffs Harbour on the north coast of NSW.

Murray Valley Sanctuary Refugee Group’s vision is to assist refugees to settle in Albury-Wodonga by providing funding and support to those on humanitarian visas in order that they can achieve independence and integration.

This entails assistance with visa applications, loans of funds for airfares and other possible travel costs on their journey to Australia. As well we provide assistance with the day-to-day functioning of life in Australia.

Since 2006 we have given over 40 loans to a value of over $140,000
